Course Content
Key Stage 2 English Group Tuition
Designed to build strong literacy foundations, this programme strengthens key reading and writing skills through structured practice. Pupils develop reading comprehension by inferring character motives with evidence and engaging in collaborative group discussions. They will refine foundational accuracy—mastering cursive handwriting, high-frequency words, homophones, prefixes, and suffixes alongside basic punctuation. Additionally, learners expand their writing repertoire by incorporating fronted adverbials and mastering core grammar, including adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and subordinate clauses.
Key Stage 2 Mathematics Group Tuition
Designed to build strong mathematical foundations, this programme strengthens key fluency and problem-solving skills through structured practice. Pupils develop a firm grasp of place value up to 1,000, master the 2 to 12 times tables, and build confidence in adding and subtracting three-digit numbers using column methods, partitioning, and inverse checking. They will tackle one- and two-step word problems using diverse strategies like arrays, number lines, and repeated addition across multiplication and division. Additionally, learners expand their reasoning repertoire by exploring fractions—identifying equivalent values, calculating fractions of quantities, and performing basic fraction addition and subtraction.
